At the Healesville Railway Station

Heritage rides

A Heritage service will depart from the Healesville station throughout the weekend with the trolleies. A ride on the railway will depart the station and head over 4Km along the track through a 100+ year old tunnel.  Details about the trip can be found on the Yarra Valley railway web site.

Tickets for the railways service can be either be a Healesville Railway Show ticket or a normal YVR ride ticket.

Shunting Displays

Throughout the weekend there will be shunting excerises where the Yarra Valley Railways rolling stock will be shifted around, so you can see the massive amount of restoration that has been done and the more restoration to follow.

Stationary Engines

It is hoped that on the weekend there will be a display of stationary engines out the front of the station for people to come and have a look at.  Many of there machines date back well over 50 years and have been lovingly restored by the volunteers.

Live Steam

It is hoped to have some Live steam engines on the platform of the station.  More details when they come to hand.
